How To Make A Cookie

So I've been thinking. I take a cooking class and I've taken in a lot from it so why not share the knowledge? So for today I've prepared the quick and easy way to making some delicious homemade cookies.
First come the ingredients: 1 cup of butter, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, 3/4 cup of white sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 eggs, 2 1/4 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 cups of chocolate chips.
Now come the steps in making the cookies.
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a big bowl pour in the flour, salt, and baking soda and mix gently. In a larger bowl beat the butter in and mix after adding the brown and white sugar. After combining all those, add the vanilla extract and eggs and mix thoroughly. Then, slowly add the bowl of prior ingredients into the larger bowl and mix until they're completely combined. Add the chocolate chips in and you should be done with your cookie dough. Next, on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper add golf ball sized amounts of dough. Don't forget to leave a little room between the cookies because they spread while they're baking. Leave the cookies in the oven for about 8-10 minutes or until they brown. When they're ready take the them out of the oven and place on a cooling rack or anything that can serve as one and give some time for the cookies to cool down. Finally eat and enjoy!
See, it's not too hard. But don't underestimate the skills of baking cookies. They can turn out bad if not treated well. So try it! Go get the supplies and make some amazing homemade cookies.

  1. This reminds me of a couple of weekends ago, when I had to help my mom bake cookies for a debate tournament. I love cookies, and thank you for sharing this! I'll be sure to try out your recipe. I like cookies with frosting. Do you? What's your favorite kind of frosting? Mine's green apple.
